What each station handles
In the Policía Nacional directory, all three take NIE certificates and assignment, EU-citizen matters and TIE cards. The Brigada Provincial on Plaça d’Orleans adds return authorisations, students, stay extensions, non-lucrative residence, asylum and travel documents; Reus and Tortosa add invitation letters and nationality reports.
None of them keeps the padró: that register belongs to each town hall, and in Tarragona it is done at an OMAC.
The towns in between
Salou, Vila-seca, Torredembarra and Altafulla are towns of the Tarragonès, Valls heads the Alt Camp and Cambrils is in the Baix Camp. By comarca, according to the Delegación del Gobierno, the first four and Valls look to Plaça d’Orleans, Cambrils to Reus. No Policía Nacional station for these procedures exists in Salou or in Cambrils.
Tortosa’s two addresses
For Tortosa the sources part ways. The Policía Nacional directory gives Passeig Joan Moreira 3 for every procedure; the Delegación del Gobierno gives Passeig Ribera 21, keeping Passeig Moreira 3 for invitation letters and stay extensions. The confirmation from the online cita previa names the address that applies.
Getting there
None of the official pages behind this guide offers public transport directions to these stations, so no bus lines are printed here. Find the address on a map ahead of the day and allow time to locate the entrance.
Queries on this guide
Oficina de Extranjería or police station: same place?
Different places. The Oficina de Extranjería on Avenida Estanislau Figueras, run by the Delegación del Gobierno, rules on residence authorisations; NIE, green certificate and TIE are police business.
I live in Valls. Which station do I book?
Plaça d’Orleans. Valls is the capital of the Alt Camp, a comarca the Delegación del Gobierno assigns to the Tarragona station.
Is there a phone number?
Yes: the Policía Nacional directory lists 977 248 613 for the provincial brigade at Plaça d’Orleans. Bookings for these procedures still go through the cita previa system.
