Picking the right procedure
The list on the sede electrónica of the State mixes police matters, a NIE certificate, an EU registration or a fingerprint sitting for the TIE among them, with matters for the Oficina de Extranjería. What you want is a police procedure at the station of your comarca.
Details the system requests
- NIE, or passport number until you hold a NIE
- Full name, spelled as in the passport
- Nationality, and for some procedures your year of birth
- A phone number or email for the confirmation
When nothing is free
Slots are released over time, and a screen that shows none today can show one later. Never book a different procedure merely to secure a date, because the station will not process a matter it was not booked for.
Once you have a slot, save or print the confirmation with its locator code and keep it in the file, beside a 790-012 paid under that same procedure.
Queries on this procedure
Is booking free?
On the official system, yes. The only fee is the 790-012 for the procedure itself.
Plaça d’Orleans shows no slots. Can I take Reus?
Usually not. Stations follow the comarca you live in, as the Delegación del Gobierno divides them, and one outside your area may refuse the file.
Can a booking be moved or cancelled?
Yes, on the same website, using the locator code. Cancelling releases the slot to somebody else.
